Can dogs eat Raw meat?

I stayed home today and my mom told me take 4 stakes out the fredge for dinner but there are 5 so im going to defrost them all and maybe give one to my dog but my big brother says that will make dogs blood thirsty but he told me this a long time ago when I was 6 so he might be lying or joking. So can I?
