I want to create a blog that I then plan to write a book about. How can I protect my idea from someone else?

I am in the process of starting a blog, which will then become a novel/autobiography. Obviously the parts based on my own life are relatively safe, but what about the parts of the blog that are not. Can these be stolen? Edited and rehashed and published? What can I do to protect my stories, and book idea?
