Is a Hysterectomy a good choice? What are some other options?

I'm 22 years old and since I was about 14 - 15 years old I have had the most excruciating pain during my period, that I've been considering getting a hysterectomy. I'm not a heavy bleeding it's just PAIN. It's to the point where I can't even function during the day. I stay in bed all day because I'm either throwing up, burning up from a fever, or feeling dizzy. I've been looking up some information, and I found Dysmenorrhea, which is severe pain during your period but I don't know what else to do.
