Pregnant women getting the flu vaccination?

Well I am the type of person that watches the view, dr. phil, tyra, and all the morning shows and I don't remember what I was watching but I think it was the news they were speaking with a doctor about the flu vaccine. The doctor noted that women who are pregnant may want to consider the vaccine more than others which would make sense considering our immune system could be more prone to such things. I just thought that the vaccines put the virus in you so therefore your body grows a stronger immunity towards the virus. I am 15 weeks pregnant and I don't really know what to think about it. I am not a type of person who is fond of medications and drugs, but what do you all think who are pregnant or who have been pregnant?
