Wat hairstyle looks better with a strapless dress?

I have a strapless floor length prom dress. Its fitted bt there is space at the bottom (not a ball gown). I dont know how i want my hair, im indecisive, but my mom keeps saying I should get an updo. Do yu think just a long weave ponytail would be fine?.. I dont need anything fancy.
