How do I get out of living in a dorm?

I got accepted to A&M University, but I dread having to live in the dorms which is required for freshman. I have already heard how fun and great they could be and how I will miss out on the "colleg experience" but I don't care. I plan on attending plenty of campus events so its not like I will be cut off. I really would like to get an apartment in College Station and have my own space. I feel like with my personality I would get tired of dorm life very quickly. I just need some ideas of ways to get out of the requirement, no matter how crazy. I do live within 50 miles of campus but I;m not sure if that is an exemption and if I could live in an apartment, but use my home address with the school. Okay, my boyfriend and I have been together for 4 and a half years and know we're going to stay together and get married eventually. Before I go into this, I just want to say, I am NOT having second thoughts about marrying him or anything like that, that really isn't the issue. Anyway, I'm severely shy and reserved by nature, and I have issues with a wedding and being proposed to. I just feel stupid and awkward, I don't really want him to propose to me, I don't even need a ring or anything, and I kind of made him feel bad by saying this. I also feel that telling anyone that I was engaged is really awkward and intimidating. The second issue, the wedding problem, is that he wants one, I really don't, but I also don't want to just go to the courthouse and sign the papers. I really hate being the center of attention and hate wearing formal attire or what is typically used at a wedding. I used to use money as an excuse not to have one, and though that is true, I just don't want to stand in front of anyone, and I don't know what the problem really is nor how to correct it. I feel really bad, we've been ing heads about this for quite a while, and I don't want to give in and neither does he. I was never one of those girls who fantasized about a wedding or being proposed to. Actually, I thought I would live alone my entire, so I never dreamed I would find anyone and actually even think of marriage. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what we could do. Why can't I stay awake in cl?

I'm in college and my cles usually begin in the afternoon, so I don't go to sleep until 1-3 AM and I get 7-9 hours of sleep every night. I wake up, shower, and then eat a meal (usually a wrap with ham, cheese, and lettuce) and gs, and then I get my bag packed and head off to cl and I doze off in almost every cl for some reason. Does playing video games or watching TV before bed or eating a milkshake at like 11 PM every few nights have anything to do with this? I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong because in high school, I would be tired the first cl or two, but by the time I got lunch in me I was always wide awake and attentive. In college, I just can't stay awake for some reason.

Steering Wheel Misaligned After Hitting Tree?

I have a 01 subaru outback and I was off-roading, and due to the nature of the trail I ended up clipping a tree. It did hardy any damage, essentially just scruffing the bumper a little--but as I swerved to the right to avoid the tree, the tree hit my tire. (Which was protruding because I had cut the wheel to the right sharply). After I got off the trail and onto the highway I noticed that while tracking straight the steering wheel was 10 or 15 degrees offset to the right. What could have caused this? I checked my tie rods, and they seem fine. There is no wobble or vibration even at speeds of up to 80 mph. What is going on here!? Any ideas!???

Well, i just need help trying to define myself, and to find stores that fit my style and personality online. I really dont know how to come to terms with the fact that my ex fiance is now preparing to get married to one of my childhood friends. Even though i recently told him that i was with her for 4 years he dont really give a damn said its up to the girl. i canceled our Original wedding date because of family issues on my side and we stated just give us a but more time over the matter. Her family were not happy with this at all which is understandable, but me and her still kept in contact, still kept meeting up and she said she still loves me. But now as her family totally hate me for what I did she said im not going to argue with my mum, you hurt her real bad and me to but i said why dont you stand up for what you have wanted all along and you know yourself im not that type of a person, then she turns it around on me and says i have a cheek to tell her to do that when she claims i never stood up for her in the end She said if i marry you i will lose my mum . She said she wants to make her mum and family happy and proud of her because of what happened. I still love her and her she was telling me that she still loves me a few months before this as we still used to meet up and talk and she stated she only wanted to have my children BUT now shes prepared to marry one of my childhood friends because his family asked for the girls hand in marriage and she says both parties are happy and she states she will also be happy in life. Moldova must be really cheap. My niece is living there right now. The people don't even have toilets in ordinary housing...they still use outhouses, and don't have showers. Question about my daughters visitation with her father?

okay to make long story short.. i left my abusive boyfriend when my daughter was a year old.. she is now almost three, he an i have been in and out of court many times in the last year an a half over the visitation time..i do have a perment restrianing order on him, i am the sole or primary guardine of my daughter, she is with me 7days a weeek an every night, i have her in a preschool based daycare center where she has a strong schedual set and a good behavior pattern, and i work full time, her father only sees her threw the order sat and sundays 9-2pm for visitations and they have to be supervised w/his sister at thier home where many people live, i know each state law differs but i want personal oponions.. we have a upcoming court date because he has not been a good parent..he spends no quality time with her and he lets her do what ever she wants..she comes home to me filthey and nasty and she misbehaves.. he has not payed child support, an he draws disibilty social security cause he cant read, i have asked the courts to make visitation time where he can only see her two hours each day mon-fri at a facilty were volenteers watch over him an her, he disliked the idea so he hired a attorney.. i have up to this point been doenting visitation switch off for almost a year and i have whitness an proof he is a dead beat.. what do you think the courts will do listin to me or him?

Hinge Tightening for Gateway Tablet PCs?

Okay, the screen on my Gateway CX2724 Tablet PC is beginnning to wobble. I suspect that the screens connection to the center rotating hinge is comming loose. I have looked at the gateway design and I believe there are four screws somewhere on the hinge that hold the screen to the hinge. Does anyone know how to access those screws. Please dont give me crap on taking it back to the store because I hear too much of that. Did blood tests and were all normal (blood sugar level a little high but nothing to worry about). Had EKG and that was totally normal. Now I'm wearing an event monitor and have to press a on when this starts happening to me. I have to wear for a month. On my second week. Has this been happening to anyone else out there???? I did have gastric byp almost 9 years ago. My friend who had the surgery is also now experiencing almost the same thing, but she gets horrible heartburn. I don't feel that at all. I don't really even feel my heart racing nor am I have chest pains. It's just weird and it's really scaring me. Now, of course, I try to avoid driving, because I'm worried that it will happen. My husband and I have been trying for a couple of months to conceive. I have been watching my ovulation calendars closely. My periods usually come every 26 days like clockwork. Meditation and yoga. I am insane without them, which I discover every time I stop. Even 10-30 mins a day. Also reading a good novel. It forces your mind into someone else's life, which is mercifully not yours so you can deal with it. It can give you temporary relief. Plus, decide not to make any decisions on your life until the sewage-colored gles come off. These things can have better and worse cycles, and knowing that you don't have to decide about your life until you're feeling better causes you to feel better about your safety (not that the ER should be out of the question in bad cases.) My boyfriend gets down about once every month or two since we started dating 6 years ago. Don't worry. This is just one of the worst bouts. You can survive it and get to a good place again.

At first it was a little tough to keep going but around the middle when it started saying that the girl was gonna run away or whatever, it was easier. this sounds dumb, but personally i hate books that throw out a mature word in every sentence and I'm sure thats just how you talk, and I understand all of the words, but sometimes that can break the sentences up and it doesn't flow as well. I love the story line so far and I hope you keep going with it. I can really picture whats going on in my mind very well, and the only reason you should start over (in my opinion) is if you can't come up with more of the story line. unless you go blank, do not stop beacause there is tons of potential in your beginning and I think it is a success.

Why i am always cold?

Severe itchy tonsil when I've got a cold?

I'm 41 and this happens to me nearly every time I get a head cold. If I've been lying down at night or otherwise, the drainage must trickle down my throat, which causes me to cough a little bit. However, once in a while, one of my tonsils (and they are quite big) feels like it's being tickled with a feather. I try to keep calm but whenever I swallow, it gets worse, causing my eyes and nose to run and I have to cough to the point of gagging. The episode lasts for a good 15 minutes until it calms down again - usually a cough drop or something else helps. I was just wondering what this is all about. I understand that drainage can cause tickles, etc. but these episodes are quite intense, painful, and just wear me out. I do take medications for the congestion or sinus issue, whatever is bothering me. Having my tonsils taken out is out of the question - no insurance. Any ideas?

If you dont want a Desiel, i would look for a Gas chevy 3500 with an Allison because if you pull alot, you will probably replace a transmission after a while. I think they made gasers with allisons, im not sure, do some research. But stay away from the older dodges because they really had problems especially pulling stuff as heavy as a loaded trailer.

Relax... grades aren't everything. This is one of the biggest complaints I have with our culture and edcuational system. A 2.8 in highschool won't keep you from going to college if that's really what you want to do, but it is an indication that you may not want to go to college - which is fine! There are trade schools out there that will prepare you for a very successful career in a trade. Its up to you where you go, but don't let anyone make you feel bad about it.

Why do girls only seem to date scrawny guys?

Well sir, the answer isn't quite so simple. A large reason is that in our society today, woman(girls) learn to respond to femininity. It's laced into our culture and sadly because there are so many subconscious messages shooting at girls from every direction, that at a very young age they learn that a feminine guy is more attractive. For starters there is a general war in our culture against masculinity. You see it in our schools. Little boys who are wired to be energetic, playful, rough, and rowdy(to be boys). Little boys are wired to make guns and spears out of sticks and have mock battles(something that is natural to little boys. It makes a boy feel powerful. Boys like weapons). But in our school system all of these behaviors are seen as bad and is punished. Where as girls are more apt to be able to sit quietly in a clroom for longer periods of time, it's not in the nature of a boy to be able to do so. So "unruly" behavior is continually punished, until eventually boys are taught it is better to be, quiet, calm, meek, and more like a girl. The masculine behavior is "bad". Instead of finding ways to compensate for the differences in both es, they just lump everyone together, being that girls are milder and easier to deal with, they take that approach. The huge sudden cases of every little boy having ADD that happened over the last 20 years, I bet if you took a good look at it, most of the time it was probably boys being boys. This is also the reason why there are so many weak men in the world today. Men who don't stand for what they believe in, who can't and won't ert themselves and how they are feeling to their wives(or anyone else). This is why you see so many households run strictly by woman. Where as it should be something that you run as a unit, you see it is more and more common where the woman "wears the pants". And it's not the fault of woman really. They are just picking up on all the subconscious messages flying around, that they have been learning since they were little girls. A "mild, meek, man is better. He is more safe, he is more predictable, he is controllable". Then you have woman wondering why there is no pion in their marriage. Why their man doesn't (and never did) sweep them off their feet. Why he is a just a boring, limp, do nothing, person, who spends too much time watching sports. Reason, he has been socially castrated and asked to be that way. Sports is probably the only thing that makes him feel masculine, makes him feel alive, gets his blood going. You always hear "where'd all the real men go?" You asked them to be girls. Why else do you think that the men thought of today as the most attractive are, hairless, baby-face, guys, with smooth skin and soft rosy cheeks. 40+ years ago, hair on a mans chest was seen as y, virile, and desirable. Now it's "disgusting". It's been wired in that masculinity is "bad, and dangerous". It's a "dangerous" man who will protect you and your family. It's a "dangerous" man who will fight for what he believes in. It's a "dangerous" man who will fight for your marriage. It's a "dangerous" man who will continue to make that effort to thrill their woman, and sweep her off her feet. And by dangerous I don't mean your typical bad boy. I mean a man who is masculine in spirit, masculinity that is seen as "dangerous" by society. A "dangerous", adventurous, spirited man, is a real man. So finally to answer your question, woman are attracted to feminine men, because of the way they are programmed since little girls. Don't worry though friend. I ask him every day to wear sunscreen and I even lay it out for him but he always forgets....I guess it's a guy thing, he has zero skin regimen so he doesn't remember sunblock. He gets up at 5am and leaves for work so I'm not up then and even if I was I couldn't really force him to wear it, but I do worry! I can only imagine whats gonna happen with his skin later on.. its scary, what would you say to convince him?

Ok before I go any further, I'm not interested in hearing everyones rude comments about me being sue- happy or that I'm lazy and should make my own money. That's not what this is about so save it for someone else. Ok here's my story... This past Tuesday I was in walgreens late at night to get a gallon of milk. I walked over to the dairy section and a manager was standing there waiting on another employee to clean up a spilled beer that a costumer had dropped. There was a caution sign and the manager informed me of the spill and to walk around it, so I did. I grabbed the gallon of milk and pivited my feet to turn around. As soon as I did I fell. I had on flip flops and my feet came out from underneath me and I landed on my entire left side. I slightly hit my head, but landed quite hard on my arm, wrist, hip and knee. It took me a moment to get up bc I was a little dizzie and off balance. The manager saw everything and helped me get up. I was so embarressed so I just said I was fine and went to check out. The manager came over to me and asked if I was sure I was ok and if I needed to go to the hospital. I showed him my wrist bc it was red and said it hurt but that I didn't need to go to the ER or anything. When I got home I told my dad and he called walgreens. He was surprised that they didn't have me fill out any paper work such as an incident report. He told the manager that we both thought that it was nothing but we just wanted to exchange information just in case. As the night went on and the next two days while I was working( I'm a medical istant at a doctors office, so I'm not some lazy bum trying to get rich quick) the pain in my shoulder, arm and wrist became unbareable. So Thursday after work I went to a crucial care facility to get xrays, still thinking it was nothing more than a sprain. To mine and the doctors surprise, my wrist was broken and my shoulder and hip had a contusion. They gave me a copy of the xrays and wrapped my wrsit in a soft cast. The next day I couldn't even work bc my manager didn't want me working on a narcotic and bc I couldn't do much with one hand and the pain I was in. So I went home. It's going to take 4-6 weeks to heal completly and I have to be in the cast for about two weeks. So obviously this is a big inconvenience for my job. Do you think I have a hard case that will definantly win if I try and sue? And how much do you think I can get and how long do these cases take to finish? Thanks for your advise

The other day I was at the park with my 5 year old son. I had to pee bad and I didn't want to leave him by himself outside the bathroom. I have went and filed a claim against a company I worked for. I was only employed for 4 months and the was fired. (after 90 day probation period) I made the claim saying that they fired me because they only needed me until they could hire another person that was hispanic to fill my job. Well I am the type of person that watches the view, dr. phil, tyra, and all the morning shows and I don't remember what I was watching but I think it was the news they were speaking with a doctor about the flu vaccine. The doctor noted that women who are pregnant may want to consider the vaccine more than others which would make sense considering our immune system could be more prone to such things. I just thought that the vaccines put the virus in you so therefore your body grows a stronger immunity towards the virus. I am 15 weeks pregnant and I don't really know what to think about it. My daughter turned a year old this month. The pregnancy was terrible, but all went well during labor/delivery. Since I had her I have felt like a totally different person and my doctor diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. I don't know if this is right, though. I never have energy - not just from being a mother, it's worse than that. I feel like I'm drugged sometimes. My body always aches, I feel nauseous half of the time and throw up a lot or feel like throwing up, inside I just feel unwell - similar to having the flu, I've had two functioning ovarian cysts burst (my doc told me this is normal but I'm having the symptoms again within the last 2 weeks). Early in the morning this lower abdominal ache wakes me up. It isn't sharp pain - it's more similar to menstrual cramps but a little different. When I wake up in the morning I feel HORRIBLE. It takes me about an hour to shake off the incredibly sick feeling all over my body. It really is like having the flu all the time - with more symptoms. I am on Protonix (for a suspected ulcer after the gall bladder test was normal) and my stomach aches are ok while taking it but when I stop it is immediate pain. I was not this person before I had her. I had my thyroid tested and it was normal. I had an ultrasound when the first cyst ruptured and all they saw was a little free fluid in my abdomen from the cyst, nothing abnormal. I get sick a lot as if my immune system is very weak. I am wondering if anyone has had a feeling of illness or achiness or exhaustion that they feel started after they gave birth or during pregnancy. I think that I was severely malnourished during the pregnancy because I threw up every day repeatedly and could barely drink water. I took two different meds to keep me from throwing up but they didn't work at all. My body felt like I was hit by a truck when I was preggo with her. I just feel like I am totally different and that life is miserable and that I am always ill and depleted of energy. Help!
